...as I
finally have found time to update it. SNOW is the roleplaying version of
the concept, and even though this is the project that kicked off the whole
thing it is to this day the most incomplete. The unfinished version of the
roleplaying game is available at the
Downloads-section. If you ever try this
roleplaying game, please send me an email to tell me how it works.
I mentioned
in the Intro-page that you should go to this page to find out more about
the concept and here it goes;
A Brief
Introduction to the SNOW-concept
There is a
world that you all know around you, picture this world; Imagine the
winter, the summer, the rain and seas and gray rocks and people and
politicians, the seagulls and the moss on the old tree behind the house;
picture everything you know and then you add the fact that Snowmen can
come alive from time to time and organize themselves to make their own
life easier and entertaining. Some of these snowmen are in touch with
humans on a regular basis, other despises us and other again doesn't
really care. This is the SNOW world.
What
happened next was this: In 1933 a cooperation between the major
snowman-organizations in the world launched a plan to gather all the
snowmen in the world on one island far away from mankind and the human
civilization. This island is located somewhere between Greenland and the
North Pole and is a snowman-only territory, the name of this place is
Knøff. (the "ø" is pronounced as the u in "shuffle"), the capitol is
Kirikiri and is the home for about 17.000 of the 23.000 snowmen residing
on the island.
A few
facts from SNOW, SNOWDOWN, the comics and SNOWy Times
(These are facts
in the SNOW world and are to a certain degree ficitonal)
- These are
some main organisations in the SNOW-world:
-
SUI -
Snowmen of the Underground International
-
SUSI -
Snowmen of the Underground Sivilisation International
-
SHE -
Snowmen for Human
Enslavement
-
Joy, Oh
Joy
-
SNOT -
Snowmen's
Norwegian Organisation at Toten
-
SNOWDEAD
- Snowmen's
National Office for World Domination 4 Ever After Dead
- There is
a realityshow that is sent every year through secret channels to the
snowman society; This is known as Snowdown, and
is a huge annual event. The survivors are treated like heros or saints.
- Every
year SNOT publishes a book named "Names and Notes" with the name of
snowmen that have died over the last years since the books beinning. The
routine is that you pay the firm to print your name and pay additional for
the amount of years it will be in the release as well as what you want
next to it; Most of the paragraphs are a name and a small sentence or a
few words, but some of the rich ones throughout time add pictures, poems
and even full page illustrations in the annual.
- There is
a monthly magazine written for snowmen; SNOWy Times; some of the issues
can be found at the Download-section.
As
mentioned, these facts are fictional and all the games and magazines are
bi-products of the roleplaying game so that every player that feel like it
can take information from the other product and apply it to his own game.
That was at least the initial thought, we'll see where it all ends when I
get bored of it.
